We lit up the Estense Gardens and Palace in Varese again this year for a light and magic show entitled Christmas on Stage.
The opening of the Christmas scenic display took place on Sunday, December 1, 2024, and transformed the park into a real enchanted kingdom. This event is known as “The Garden of Wonders,” and is one of the most anticipated events of the Varese holiday season.
The opening night featured a performance by female aerial dance artists, followed by a spectacular videomapping projection on the facade of the Estense Palace, and finally the switching on of the lights, light installations and kaleidoscope in the center of the Gardens.
The images and colors enlivened the 90-meter facade, creating a magical atmosphere with elves, enchanted woods, stars and gift parcels, and especially the typical Christmas sweets that accompany the advent and holiday tables. This light and image show attracted thousands of visitors who immersed themselves and became engrossed in the scenic effects typical of videomapping, which always evokes greater awe at Christmas.
One of the most fascinating elements of the exhibit is the kaleidoscope of lights, an interactive installation that allows visitors to have an immersive lighting experience. In addition, the seven kilometers of strands of lights that decorate the park create luminous geometries that guide visitors through the garden.
The scenic gallery under the hornbeam is another highlight of the event, with lights enveloping the trees in a shimmering embrace.
The park’s flowerbeds are adorned with giant gift parcels, adding a touch of wonder and surprise for visitors. These decorative elements, along with the lights and projections, help create a festive and welcoming atmosphere that makes the Estensi Gardens a must-see during the Christmas season.
Lights, projections and decorations in the Garden of Wonders continues to be one of the most beloved and anticipated events of the holiday season.
